The student clinics are an essential piece to providing excellent oral care to the community and supports student leading.

The Office of Clinical Affairs has an immediate opening for aPatient Services Representativeto support patient care and student learning. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic and committed to delivering stellar customer service. This talented individual will welcome patients into the school by completing full-service patient processing.

ThePatient Services Representativeis expected to handle multiple tasks at once and maintain accuracy and professionalism at all times. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient check-in, insurance eligibility verification, and financial reconciliation of patient accounts.

A preferred candidate will have 2-5 years of Dental front office experience using axiUm OR Dentrix. Preferred candidates will be bilingual, fluent in English & Spanish.

Job Accountabilities

Performs a variety of administrative duties in a dental clinic or practice. Provides assistance to

patients and to management

  • Hours and varied shifts for this position will be as follows:

7:30 4pm

8:30 5pm

10:30 7pm Tuesday night clinic shift will be rotated every 3-6 weeks.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:Associates degree

Preferred Experience:2-5 years working front office in a Dental Clinic

Working knowledge of dental management systems, preferably axiUm or Dentrix. Experience in consumer-side healthcare environment.

Bilingual in English & Spanish.

  • Understand and apply policies and procedures

  • Computer peripheral equipment



Minimum Education: High school or equivalent

Minimum Experience: 2 years

Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience working in a healthcare environment. Working knowledge of HIPAA compliance and insurance terminology. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal customer service and telephone skills. Demonstrated ability to multi-task. Demonstrated experience in a high volume, fast paced environment. Demonstrated team-oriented and collaborative work style.
